BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

We are an Israeli Hi-Tech company, based in Petach Tikva; and we are interested in recruiting an intern with Portuguese, French or Spanish language skills.

Powercom is a technology leader in Smart Grid solutions for electricity, water, and gas utilities worldwide. 

In order to achieve our expansion goals we need people that can get passionate and care about their future and their earning potential.  This opportunity will involve learning about the smart grid market as well as involvement in the creation of innovative marketing tools.  The role may evolve into a full-time paid position for the suitable applicant.

Working closely with the VP Business Development, the functions and initiatives may include but not limited to:

  • Preparing submissions in response to international tenders.
  • Manage the Opportunity Quality Review (OQR) Process.
  • Proposal development utilizing top notch editing skills.
  • Special Projects.
  • Lead the targeted email marketing campaign to support the Business Development team in increasing awareness of latest cutting edge technology developments and project wins in order to cultivate new opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain personal knowledge of the smart grid sectors; market trends and routes to market for improved effectiveness within a sales support function.
  • Support Business Development Team in preparing for and supporting partner events.
  • Assist with the establishment of an E-Learning Online training academy, and training kits.
  • Assist with the establishment of a Partner Portal.
  • As guided, assist with the production of marketing materials, including:
    • Project summary and past performance reference database.
    • PowerPoint presentations to present to potential partners.
    • Brochures
    • Customer Return On Investment (ROI) Calculator
    • Management of image database
    • Employee profiles
    • Website banners and upload content
    • Linked-In, Facebook, Wikipedia and Twitter company page
    • Webinars
    • Key Performance Indicator report
    • Analyst reports
    • Press releases
    • Cost-benefit analysis (CBA)
    • Technology Solution Brief White paper
    • User manual
    • Newsletter
    • Editorial

  • Assist with the implementation of a CRM system.
  • Represent PowerCom at conferences and exhibitions when required, gathering information about competing companies / partnerships and identify potential collaborations.
  • Demonstrate (with training provided) the company's products / solutions.
  • Reviewing Business Development Process Efficiency.
  • Assist in the update to the Company’s business plan, SWOT and Strategic Analysis


Job Requirements:

  • Completed or undertaking a university degree.
  • Organized, highly motivated, able to work independently and as a member of the team.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills – please submit writing sample.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
