The PCR421 is a powerful single-phase smart electricity meter combining advanced metering technology, two-way AMI communications, and internal relay unit. The meter is fully compliant with IEC, ISO, STS, SABS, and DLMS. The meter supports energy, power, voltage, current, frequency, power factor, and other load profile measurements. It is a fully tamper-proof meter, and includes an internal relay of 120 Amps for remote disconnection via PowerCom’s AMI solution. The meter can operate in prepayment and postpaid modes, remotely switchable between the two. Multiple tariffs are remotely configured including step incline tariff and Time of Use (TOU). Bi-directional energy measurement supports connection to alternative energy production such as solar panel or wind turbines.
The PCR521 is a Smart Electricity Meter built for single phase ANSI socket type applications with accuracy of 0.5% - active and reactive energy. The meter combines advanced metering technology, state-of-the-art communications, and internal relay unit. The PCR521 offers unmatched smart grid flexibility with a field replaceable, hot insertion technology allowing the replacement of the communications without the need to replace the meter. The meters hosts a large variety of communication types as PLC, ZigBee, GPRS, LAN, CDMA, and LTE.
The PCR423 is a powerful three-phase smart electricity meter offering two-way AMI multi-communications (PLC, GPRS, RF), internal relay unit for remote disconnection, and precise energy measurement (positive and reverse active energy, leading and lagging reactive energy in 4 quadrants, active power, maximum demand, reactive power, RMS voltage & current, power factor and frequency). It also integrates power limitation – disconnecting load when configurable power or frequency thresholds are exceeded. The meter is fully compliant with IEC, ISO, STS, SABS and DLMS. Powercom’s industrial meters offer advanced AMI capabilities with bi-directional and precise measurement of energy (positive and reverse active energy, leading and lagging reactive energy in 4 quadrants, active power, maximum demand, reactive power, RMS voltage & current, power factor and frequency). The meters include integrated communications (GPRS/LAN/PLC/RF) which transfer the load profiles to a control center. It also integrates power limitation – disconnecting load when configurable power or frequency threshold are exceeded.
PowerCom’s smart prepayment solution allows operators to control essential elements remotely such as the ability to: (i) credit a meter; (ii) switch between credit and pre-payment; (iii) send immediate online tariff changes; (iv) provide emergency credit; (v) connect/disconnect, trickle flow, friendly credit or load limiting when credit runs out; and (vi) send automatic SMS/Email verifying successful loading of credit and pre-notification of disconnections. In deployments where reliable GPRS communication exists, there is no need for the keypad to credit the meter. The system also offers basic customer invoicing and payment reconciliations reports, as well as incorporates an STS code generator for producing the pre-paid token numbers. A customer portal is available where each customer enters their unique username and password to access their consumption history in graphs according to user selected intervals. The system can be expanded to include smart home applications, and load management systems.
